cloth diaper trial run.... or the tale of the juicy poop bandit.

last night the cloth diapering began. so far, so good. it's a little more work, but the redness in his legs and butt area is already waning and frankly, i'd like finn to be comfortable. and so, we continue on. they of course, haven't been washed yet, but they also aren't stinking up the house in the bag they are currently languishing and marinating in either. so, it's a good thing. the only bad thing, is that it seems like he's got a case of the squirts lately. the squirts meaning he poops, i change him, i take a few steps, he makes a stinky wet fart, i change him again, make it to the kitchen, he poops... again. oh and by the way... 20 minutes later he pees through his diaper and shirt and onto the pillow i just got back from colleen after she washed this weekend for that very same reason. i need to get more waterproof lap pads and just attach them to his bottom at all times. le sigh. see pics below for proof of both stories above and for a face that says, "whoa, was that my butt? i'm just as shocked as you are". and hey... if i have to see it, smell it and inevitably touch it, you're at least gonna see it.
