smiles

wednesday i thought he may have smiled, but i wasn't sure. you see, he'd smiled before, but not social smiles, so i didn't want to count until it was a real social smile. so on wednesday, when he gave me this big huge grin, but wasn't looking me directly in the eyes, i was reluctant to count it. but then thursday i got a few hints at smiles and then friday he smiled a ton. and then saturday and today too. so here's to finn and his smiles and bringing joy to this little mama's heart. now if he could just talk and tell me why the rest of the day he's screaming at me. i've found that sometimes mockingly wailing right back at him will render him speechless for a moment. just long enough to give us a moment of peaceful silence.


and of course, he's not smiling in this pic, but he and daddy are just too cutie patootie for words.
