feeling so grateful

today my friend molly took more pictures of finn. i've only seen 6 pics so far, but she apparently took 200. the first 6 brought tears to my eyes. she's got some mad skills, and my son is, well... that damn cute. i'm so grateful to have a friend who can document these first few weeks, months, years in a professional light. and he's so beautiful, and today, i'm feeling so grateful. thank you god for a beautiful, healthy baby. thank you for a once-in-lifetime-find of a husband sleeping peacefully with a little babe on his chest while simultaneously cuddling the best dog in the world. thank you for the best life a person can ask for. if i could remember to feel this grateful everyday.... maybe i should put a reminder on my google calendar that reads something like this:

note to self: you have the best life imaginable. pinch yourself. and stop being a crabby complainer.
